Years before signing a deal with a publisher, I began my author journey by self publishing. In those early days, I took boxes of books to local events, gift shops, and a few other places near home. Sometimes I offered signed copies, but that mostly involved my first series, Shadow Copy.
I have rarely offered signed copies from my second series, They All Had A Reason. Some exceptions were made at the request of friends and family. But on a recent trip to Wilmington, NC, I stopped at Barnes & Noble and took the opportunity to sign some copies.
I can’t promise signed copies at your preferred retail location, and I don’t plan to make this a habit, but I had a fun time doing it. Who knows what might happen in the future?
